How do I enroll in a class?

Can I take more than one track?

No, students may not take more than one track. They must choose one of the four tracks that are available.

Can I do classes in another track?

Yes. Students can take as many different classes in as many different tracks as they would like. Students will not be able to graduate in the track that they did not choose but they will get points and grades towards it.

How much are the courses?

The courses are completely free, here to help students be thoroughly educated in a plethora of subjects!

How old do I have to be at Hawthorne?

There are no age restrictions, but the suggested age is at least 13 years old.

How long does the school run for?

To graduate, students must complete six "years" of school, each of which is comprised of 8 lessons, containing both a midterm and a final.

Are there deadlines that assignments must be completed by?

No. Students may work at their own pace.

Can the credit that I earn at Hawthorne count towards my real life school?

Unfortunately, no, it cannot. You can improve your writing and work ethic however.

Where is Hawthorne located?

Hawthorne is located in a secure location in the Kingdom of Relerian in Atemnity, a sister planet of Earth's. You can learn more about it here

Who are the Professors and how do I become one?

The Professors are a group of talented volunteers from all over the world. Students can apply to become a Professor when a position is available. An application will be posted on the site to notify students when there is indeed a position open.

Who are the graders and how do I become one?

A grader is a student who has been chosen by the Head Staff to help the Professors with the grading. Graders are high-achieving students who have solid grades and can still find time to put in extra work. There are applications open for graders so, when there is room, students may apply for the position.

What is a CA and how do I become one?

A CA, also called a Course Assistant, is a very talented student who has been praised and noticed by the professor of a course. They are usually the top of the class and then are chosen by the professor to help out. Students can go to the CA for help with the course. If a student would like to be a CA, there will be applications available to the student body when the position is open.

What do I do if I am having problems with a student or a faculty member?

Contact your Track Head and tell them about the issue. They are trained and prepared to help you in anyway possible. If you do not want to go to your Track Head for any reason, you can go to your Dorm Head, the Student Coordinator, or any other staff member that you trust.
